Am 30.07. war es soweit. Gabriel wurde 12 Jahre alt! Es ist schon verrückt, wie schnell die Zeit vergeht. Er war schon seit Tagen ganz nervös und aufgeregt und endlich endlich war sein großer Tag gekommen.

30th of July! Gabriel turned 12 years old! It is crazy how time goes by. He had been excited for days and now - finally the big day arrived.

Sehr angesagt ist Ed Hardy. Die Begeisterung war sehr groß am morgen - denn das stand gar nicht auf dem Wunschzettel.

Ganz lieb finde ich das ja wieder. Klara durte eines seiner Geschenke aufpacken und sie war neugierig, was wohl darinnen sein könnte.

I think it was lovely to do. Klara was allowed to open one of his gifts and she was curious what could be in there.

Paper to draw and pencils

Gabriel liebt es zu zeichnen. So dachten wir uns, dass es eine schöne Idee sei, ihm einen Zeichenblock sowie ein paar bessere Stifte zu schenken. Er war sehr überrascht - fand es dann aber sehr gut.

Gabriel loves to draw. We thought it would be a nice idea to get him some special paper to draw on and some better pencils. He was very surprised but loved it.

Natürlich waren auch Gäste da. Aber in der ganzen Hektik, die das ja so mit sich bringt, hat keiner an die Kamera gedacht. Nichts desto trotz war es ein sehr schöner Tag und Gabriel wurde reich beschenkt.

Leider war das Wetter etwas unbeständig und unser Plan, das ganze im Hof zu veranstalten scheiterte an dem wirklich sehr starken Wind. Aber wir verlagerten es in die Wohnung und stellten noch einen Tisch und Bänke in Klara´s Zimmer und das funktionierte wirklich gut.

Of course we had some guests. But as always it is a little bit hectic around here so everybody forgot about the camera. But it was a very nice day and Gabriel had lots of fun and got some nice gifts.

Unfortunately the weather wasn´t that well and our plan to celebrate his party in the backyard didn´t work out. We set up everything inside our apartment which worked very well. A table and two benches in Klara´s room completed the second plan:-).

Abgeschlossen wurde dieser sehr schöne Tag mit einem Grillerchen. Es gab leckere Salate und Steaks und Chicken Wings.

Ich glaube, Gabriel kann sich nicht beschweren:-)!!

The day ended with a nice barbecue. We had steaks and chicken wings and some salads.

I think Gabriel had a good time and nothing to complain about:-)!!
