Das Mutterhaus St. Vincenz in Heppenheim /The Convent of St. Vincenz in Heppenheim
Heute endlich war es soweit. Ich habe mich auf diesen Tag schon seit ein paar Wochen riesig gefreut. Nach über 10 Jahren habe ich heute meine Patentante Sr. Edeltraud wieder einmal gesehen. Meine Eltern hatten diesen Besuch vor einiger Zeit bereits organisiert und dafür gesorgt, dass auch meine Schwester mit Kids und mein Bruder mit Freundin dabei sein können.
Today was THE day. I was really looking forward to it for a couple weeks. After more than 10 years I finally met my godmother Edeltraud again. My parents planned this trip for a couple weeks and made sure my sister and her kids and my brother and his fiance would be there as well.
Ein Blick über Heppenheim /View over Heppenheim
Ein wunderschönes Örtchen ist Heppenheim. Meine Patentante ist Ordensschwester und hier im Mutterhaus St. Vincenz zu Hause. Es ist nicht wirklich weit von Mainz nach Heppenheim und dennoch war ich so lange nicht mehr hier. Aber den passenden Termin zu finden ist gar nicht so leicht, da auch mein Patentantchen immer etwas auf dem Terminplan hat und manchmal passt es eben einfach nicht. Meine Eltern entführten uns alle auf die Starkenburg in Heppenheim in ein sehr nettes gemütliches Lokal.
Heppenheim is a beautiful town. My godmother is a nun and her convent is here in the middle of the town. It isn´t that far from Mainz but still I didn´t make it over here for such a long time. It isn´t so easy to find the right dates because Sister Edeltraud is also very busy :-). My parents made it work today and I am thankful for that. They invited us all up to the "Starkenburg" (a castle on a hill in Heppenheim) in a nice and comfortable little restaurant.

Schwester Edeltraud hat derzeit Besuch aus Indien. Vor mehr als 20 Jahren war Schwester Stella das letzte mal hier in Heppenheim und damals auch bei uns zu Hause zu Besuch. Sie ist eine ganz ganz liebe Person und ich hab sie wirklich sehr gerne. Sie lebt in Indien und lädt uns alle immer wieder ein sie zu besuchen.
Beide Schwestern sind einfach zu goldig und es hat mir wirklich sehr viel Spaß gemacht ein wenig Zeit mit ihnen zu verbringen.
Leider war es wieder nur kurz, da sie beide schon um fünf Uhr wieder zurück im Mutterhaus sein mussten. Aber ich habe mich sehr gefreut, beide einmal wiedersehen zu dürfen.
Sister Edeltraud has a visitor at the moment. More then 20 years ago Sister Stella was here for a visit the last time. My parents were always close to her and she was in Mainz a few times. She is a wonderful loving person and I really like her. She lives in India and always invites everybody to come for a visit.
Both nuns are nice and I enjoyed being around them today. Unfortunately they didn´t have so much time and had to be back at the convent by 5pm. But - it was a nice afternoon.
