Seit gestern haben wir Besuch. Duanes Freund "Fish" und seine Tochter Alisha sind bei uns.

Gestern nachmittag kamen sie an und werden wohl bis morgen bleiben. Es ist der erste richtige Abschiedsbesuch bevor es für Duane losgeht. Das ist schon ein komisches Gefühl.
Yesterday afternoon they arrived and they might stay until tomorrow. It is the first time someone is coming to say bye to Duane. That´s a strange feeling.
Natürlich freuen wir uns alle, dass wir die beiden nochmal sehen. Aber es wäre auch sehr schön gewesen, wenn die Mama - Susi - mitgekommen wäre.
Of course we are really happy to get the chance to see them again. But it would have been really nice if the Mum - Susi - would have been here as well.
Die beiden Männer kennen sich schon ewig und schaffen es, sich ab und an mal zu sehen. Die 3 leben im Süden:). In Pressath! Es ist also eine recht lange Fahrt zu uns hier rauf und umso mehr freuen wir uns, dass sie es nochmal geschafft haben, hierher zu kommen. Besonders für Duane ist das wichtig. Nachdem der gestrige Nachmittag recht ruhig war sind wir heute dann mal mit ihnen in die Stadt. Die Männer wollten ein paar Caches heben aber waren da nicht so wirklich erfolgreich. Wir waren ne ganze Weile unterwegs denn das Wetter war wirklich super heute. Die kleine Alisha ist 4 und mein lieber Mann - sie kann ganz schön marschieren. Wir sind wirklich kreuz und quer durch Mainz gelaufen und ich habe sie nicht einmal jammern gehört. Hut ab kleine Frau!!
Those two men know each other for years and they make it to see each other once in a while - not enough but at least some times. Those 3 live down in the south of Germany:). In Pressath! It is a good distance to drive up here and that makes us more happy of course to see they found time to come up. I think it´s really important for Duane. The afternoon was nice and quiet so we walked down town today to show them some of my city. The men wanted to find some caches while we were out but unfortunately they were not really successful. We all were out for a couple hours and the weather was really nice here today. The little Alisha is 4 and man she can walk - wow! We walked through Mainz and I never heard her saying anything. She was never complaining about the long distances we walked - respect little one!
Ein kleines Grillerchen hat den heutigen Tag abgeschlossen und nun sind alle fertig und müde und genießen den Abend.
Es ist schon komisch, wenn man weiß, dass man die Freunde erstmal nicht mehr sehen wird und es wird einem bewusst, was es heißt, so weit weg zuziehen.
We had a nice barbeque in the evening and now we are all tired and done and enjoying the evening together.
It´s strange to know you won´t see those friends for a while and you finally realize what it means to move away that far.
