Ein kleines Update in dem ganzen Chaos "Amerika".

A little update for our chaos "America"

Es steht jetzt glaub ich endlich fest. Duane verlässt uns am 29.03. um am Montag dann seine Arbeit aufzunehmen. Wir werden am 01.06. nachfliegen und hoffentlich werden wir Mitte Mai oder so unser Hab und Gut verpackt bekommen. Somit wären es nur zwei Wochen, die wir mit etwas weniger Möbeln hier überbrücken müssten. Ich denke, das ist zu schaffen. Duane bekommt für zwei Monate sein Hotel bezahlt und in dieser Zeit müsste er dann auch eine Bleibe für uns finden. Ich hoffe, dass er das hinbekommt und uns was schönes finden kann. Denn auch hier scheinen die Mietpreise recht hoch zu sein. Aber wir hoffen, dass die Möglichkeiten etwas zu finden größer sind, wenn man vor Ort ist. Das wird sich zeigen.

I think we are set now. Duane is leaving on the 29th of March (Sunday) and on Monday he will have to start his new job. We will follow him on the 1st of June and hopefully middle of May or so they will pack and move us. That way we have to handle everything without furniture for only 2 weeks. I think that shouldn't be a big problem. Duane gets paid for the hotel for about 2 months and during that time he has to find a place for us to live. I hope he can make that and will find something nice for the 4 of us. The rent seems to be really high there but once one of us is over there and can actually look at the places we should be ok. We will see.

Ansonsten geht es uns eigentlich recht gut jetzt und wir sind alle etwas aufgeregt. Meine Eltern verstehen uns überhaupt nicht, was unsere Situation etwas schwierig macht. Bzw es ist schon so schwer genug, aber wenn das familiäre Umfeld überhaupt nicht hinter einem steht, dann ist das schon traurig. Wir verstehen dass es für die Eltern nicht leicht ist, ein Kind so weit wegziehen zu lassen aber wir haben uns diese Situation nicht ausgesucht und versuchen lediglich das Beste daraus zu machen.

Other than all that we are doing pretty good and we are all excited about this. My parents don´t understand anything or don´t WANT to understand. This really doesn't make our situation any better. I mean it´s hard enough for us but when you don't get any support by your family thats tough and kinda sad. We understand it´s not easy for any parents to let the kids move away and then that far but we had no choice and we try to make the best out of it. Is that wrong?

Nichts desto trotz sind wir wie gesagt froh und erleichtert ein paar gescheite Informationen erhalten zu haben und diese ständigen Spekulationen haben sich erledigt.

But - we are happy and glad we finally got some more information and don't have to speculate no more.

Unsere Kleine ist wirklich schwer aktiv. Sie krabbelt durch die ganze Wohnung und zieht sich an allem hoch und läuft auch schon richtig schön wenn man ihr die Hände gibt. Ich glaube, es dauert bei ihr nicht mehr lange und sie macht ihre ersten Schritte alleine. Sie ist fit und sobald ihr großer Bruder auftaucht sind Mama und Papa abgeschrieben. Süß sag ich da!

Our little one is pretty active. She is crawling all over the house and is trying to stand up using whatever she finds to help her. She even starts walking when you hold her hands. I think it won´t take to long before she starts walking by herself. She is fit and whenever her big brother shows up she needs no mum or dad. That´s so cute!
