Pap und Klara vereint /Pap and Klara
Wir hatten einen Kurzbesuch aus West Virginia. Pap, Renee, Michelle und Cody waren bei uns. Pap hatte seinen Untersuchungstermin in Richmond und da kamen sie bei uns vorbei. Sie blieben ueber Nacht. Leider hatte Duane Fruehdienst, so dass der Abend frueh zu Ende war und er sie heute morgen auch gar nicht mehr verabschieden konnte. Nichts desto trotz ist es schoen gewesen, dass sie da waren und wir freuen uns immer, die Familie zu sehen. Auch Klara benoetigt nicht mehr ganz so lange um mit allen warm zu werden und zum Abschied hat sie sogar Kuesschen verteilt.
auf der Couch / on the CouchWe had some visitors. Pap, Renee, Michelle and Cody were here for a short visit. Pap had his regular checkup in Richmond and they stopped here in Culpeper. They stayed overnight. We are always happy when they show up here. Unfortunately Duane had early shift and it was an early night for him and he couldn't say bye to them in the morning. But still it was nice to have them here for a bit. And it didn't took Klara such a long time to go to Pap. You can tell she gets used to the family even so we don't see them every day. She even gave out kisses to everybody when they left.

Renee habe ich leider nicht erwischt. Sie haetten wir hier natuerlich auch sehr gerne gezeigt. Aber sie war wirklich dabei:).

MichelleAm spaeten Abend fuhren Michelle und Renee dann zum Walmart. Es gab Kuchen und Eis - so richtig typisch amerikanisch. Fuer alle in Deutschland, denen das komisch erscheint muss ich sagen - das schmeckt wirklich gut:). Ein Stueck Kuchen in eine kleine Schuessel und ein oder zwei oder drei Kugeln Eis drauf.
Es war ein verspaetetes Geburtstagsgeschenk fuer Gabriel und ein Vorabgeschmack fuer Mama:). Dafuer ganz ganz herzlichen Dank.
Later in the evening Michelle and Renee went to Walmart. They got cake and ice cream. To those in Germany that don't know this and think this is strange - it is really good. You get a piece of cake in a small bowl and then ice cream on top. Yummy!
It was a belated birthday gift for Gabriel and an early one for Mama:). Thank you very much for this!
