Klara und Papa / Klara and Daddy
Papa, unser grosser Geocacher, ist schon seit Monaten ohne ein GPS-Geraet. Eine Strafe fuer ihn:-). Wir konnten es uns die letzten Monate aber einfach nicht leisten, ein neues zu kaufen. Da Michelle, Duane's Schwester, aber ein neues hat, schenkte sie ihm letztes Wochenende ihr "altes". Das mussten wir nun an diesem Wochenende gleich testen.
Wie es auch in Deutschland sehr oft der Fall war, bringt uns das Geocachen an Orte von denen wir keine Ahnung hatten. So auch hier - das erste mal. Es war klasse! Das Wetter war nicht wirklich toll - regnerisch und kuehl. Aber dennoch gingen wir los und wollten ein paar Schaetze heben. Die Schatzsuche fuehrte uns in den Crockett Park in Germantown Virginia. Ein ganz tolles Plaetzchen. Neben diversen Grillhuetten und Picknickmoeglichkeiten gab es auch einen grossen Spielplatz, den wir wirklich alle begeistert getestet haben.
Daddy our Geocacher had to live without a GPS for a couple of months. We couldn't afford to buy a new one. Duane's sister, Michelle, bought herself a new one and gave her "old" one to her brother which I think was very nice of her. Of course we had to test it this last weekend. Geocaching takes us to places we never heard of before and even in Germany it took us to places I have never been to before. It is very interesting sometimes. This time we ended up in Germantown Virginia in a Park called Crockett Park. A beautiful place with places to barbecue or picnic. The weather wasn't really nice Saturday but we still enjoyed it there especially the big playground. Everybody had a good time and Daddy found all of his caches. So he was happy as well:-).

Ich finde ja, dass unser Klaerchen wirklich unglaublich ist. In erster Linie hat sie ja mal vor gar nichts Angst. Was macht sie naemlich hier? Laeuft bzw klettert einfach mal alleine die Rutsche hoch um sich dann oben hinzusetzen und runter zu rutschen. Unglaublich wenn man bedenkt, dass sie hoechstens ein- oder zweimal in ihrem Leben gerutscht ist. Sie ist wirklich ueberall und macht ihrem grossen Bruder ALLES aber auch wirklich ALLES nach. Es ist schon verrueckt, wie schnell sie gross wird.
Well I think this little girl is unbelievable. Why? Well look at the left picture. The first thing she did by herself at this playground was climbing up this slide. When she got up there she turned around sat down and slid down. I think it is amazing because she did that only once or twice before. She is a crazy little girl. She is all over the place and is always doing what her brother does. EVERYTHING he does - she has to try it as well.
