So könnte man den Beginn der Beziehung der Mainzamericans betiteln:). Denn genau so war es. Ein einsamer Amerikaner in Deutschland und eine alleinerziehende Mutter eines 7 jährigen Jungen. Beide "nur" auf der Suche nach einem neuen Bekanntenkreis. Und was war die Folge des ganzen?...Freunde sind wir und.. - ein Ehepaar (2007)!
Thats how you could call the beginning of the relationship of the mainzamericans. Because thats exactly how it has been. A lonely american in Germany and a single mother of a 7 year old boy. Both "just" looking for new friends. And what happened...we are best friends and.. - now we're married (2007)!

Es hat eine ganze Weile gedauert, bis es soweit war aber der harte Weg war es wert. Auch mein Sohnemann hat sich dann mit dieser Situation sehr gut angefreundet und es funktionierte. Abgesehen von der Wohnsituation damals. Auf 55qm zu dritt in 2 Zimmern..das war schon heftig.
It took us a while unil we got to that point and it wasnt easy but was worth it. Even my son got used to that new situation and everything works now. Except our living situation. We were living in a 550sq.ft 1 bedroom apartment - that was really a hard time.
