Culpeper Airport Fest Blick auf einige der Maschinen / View to some of the airplanes
Ein grosses Airport Fest fand am Samstag in Culpeper statt. Etwas ausserhalb liegt ein kleiner Flugplatz. Es waren viele Flugzeuge zum anschauen und anfassen da und es faellt mir wirklich schwer die schoensten Bilder rauszusuchen um Euch zu zeigen, was es hier so gab. Es war wirklich toll - aber auch sehr heiss. Nach wie vor ist es hier nachmittags ganz schoen warm. Angefangen hat das ganze um 10 Uhr und Gott sei Dank waren wir schon frueher da, so konnten wir einen schoenen Parkplatz erwischen. Es gab natuerlich auch Essen und Trinken und einige andere Attraktionen fuer Gross und Klein.

There were lots and lots of airplanes to look at and touch and it is hard to pick the best pictures for you all so you get an idea what was going on here. It was really nice - but very hot as well. It still is getting pretty warm in the afternoon. The Fest started at 10 a.m. and thankfully we made it early enough to find good parking. Of course they had food and drinks and other thinks for the big and small people.

DAS Highlight - ein Harrier THE Highlight - a Harrier
Eine der Attraktionen war der Harrier. Ich hatte davon vorher natuerlich noch nie etwas gehoert:-) - typisch Frau denke ich mal. Aber Duane wusste, dass der dort sein wuerde und freute sich sehr. Es war schon sehr beeindruckend wie man spaeter noch sehen wird.
